Special Stamp for Foreigners Leaving the CR

Foreign nationals (third-country nationals) whose residence permit in the Czech Republic expired after March 12th, 2020 must leave the territory of the Czech Republic no later than by July 16th, 2020. For this period, foreign nationals will not be issued a departure order. To make the passage through other member states of the European Union easier, the Police of the Czech Republic put a special stamp in the foreigners’ travel document. The stamp certifies that the foreign national’s stay in the Czech Republic has been suffered and accordingly informs other EU member states through whose territory the foreign national passes. However, the stamp is not an automatic entry permit into the territory of these states.

If you are leaving the territory of the Czech Republic, it is recommended that you come to the nearest Department of Residential Agendas of the Foreign Police during their office hours to receive the stamp prior to your journey.

Please note that the stamp serves only to leave the country. Once you have received the stamp, leave the territory of the Czech Republic within 24 hours, otherwise you risk being penalised by other member states of the European Union through which you pass.
