Millions of Europeans will participate in elections to the European Parliament from 6th to 9th June. In Czechia, In addition to Czech citizens, citizens of other EU Member States who are registered for permanent or temporary residence here may also vote in these elections. This right does not apply to citizens of third countries. Of course, foreigners who have already acquired Czech citizenship can also vote.
We want to inform foreigners, that they do have a voting right in European elections even if they live in an EU member state other than their homeland. In cooperation with the Prague city council, we have prepared a short flyer for foreigners to better orient in the European parliament elections and which will lead them on how to vote in the Czech Republic. The flyer is available in 8 languages – Czech, English, German, French, Spanish, Polish, Bulgarian and Romanian.
