Czech Literature Seminars at ICP
Integration Centre Prague has prepared two interesting events before Christmas for those who would like to explore Czech culture through literature. Both the events will take place in a pleasant…
MoreWe invite you to Kokorin castle and to take a walk in the surrounding nature. The route is about 10 km long and you can expect forest paths, climbing ladders or an excellent view point which is the ideal place for taking selfie photos of Kokořín in the background. We will also see some remarkable rock formations. If 10 kilometers is too long for you, you can only visit the castle with us and skip the circular walk (in this case, it will be about 5 km in total).
Kokořín is originally a Gothic castle, which underwent extensive reconstruction in the beginning of the 20th century.
The castle includes, among others, a memorial to Karel Hynek Mácha, one of the most famous Czech poets, whom you may already remember from our annual Petřín event. The poet frequently visited these romantic places (this inspiration is obvious, for example, in his work called “The Gypsies”).
Join this trip to Kokorin! The walk in the nature and views from the castle’s tower are definitely worth it!
