Creative Children’s Multilingualism Competition

We would like to warmly invite you to take part in the 11th creative children’s competition Vícejazyčnost je bohatství (Multilingualism Is Treasure) aimed at the promotion of reading and writing in a second language. The competition motivates children to learn languages with the support of their adult mentors, explore cultures, read and then create, have fun together and get acquainted with each other. The competition is organised by the Zaedno Asssociation.

This year’s main theme: National symbols and traditions

This year has brought a special category for Ukrainian and other child refugees. The theme for this category is Prague – Ancient and Modern. In this category, children will read and write in Czech. Their mentors will be their Czech classmates who will help them, especially with Czech language. All child refugee participants will be awarded.

Prize for active teachers

An interesting teacher’s prize will also be awarded this year. One of the teachers will get the title Patron of Multilingualism 2023 and a prize provided by the European Commission Representation – a visit to the European Union institutions in Brussels.

Works can be submitted from 1st September to 20th October 2023.
