MoreSeptember is the month of wine harvesting. Do you know where to go for wine celebrations in Prague?
You can taste half-fermented wine (burčák) and quality wines from Bohemia and Moravia, this year joined by wines from abroad, at Vinohradské vinobraní (Vinohrady Wine Festival) on Jiřího z Poděbrad Square. There will be music and an accompanying programme for children on both days.

On Saturday 10th September, you can taste wine in the beautiful surroundings of the Troja Chateau garden. Visitors may look forward to live music and a programme for children. A traditional part of Trojské vinobraní (Troja Wine Festival) is an art workshop which will take place in the Eco-studio of the Prague City Gallery in the Troja Chateau orangery. Visitors are welcome to try their hand at creating art inspired by current exhibitions, textile projects, flower arranging, experimental jewellery making, and the creation of Motanka, traditional Ukrainian rag doll.
When: Saturday 10th September from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Where: Troja Chateau garden, U Trojského zámku 1, Prague 7 – Troja
Admission: CZK 100
On the same date, there will be the 15th edition of Vinobraní na Pražském hradě (Prague Castle Wine Festival) in the Royal Garden of Prague Castle. There will be wine tasting of sparkling and still wines, Moravian half-fermented wine, and grape juice freshly pressed on a historic had press replica. Visitors may also look forward to performances of folklore groups and fencing programme for children.
When: 10th and 11th September 2022 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

One of the oldest vineyards in Prague will be open to visitors during the weekend of 17th and 18th September. In the Prague Botanical Garden, there will be quality varietal wines, cuveés as well as half-fermented wine for you to enjoy together with a beautiful view of Prague at the Vinobraní na vinici sv. Kláry (St. Claire’s Vineyard Wine Festival). You can count on a diverse accompanying programme.
When: 17th to 18th September 2022
Where: Prague Botanical Garden
Admission: CZK 250 for adults, CZK 150 for children (includes entrance to the botanical garden, Fata Morgana greenhouse, free guided tour of the wine production exhibition and accompanying programme on two stages on both days)
The closing of the wine month will again take place at Vinohrady. The Prague 2 City District invites all wine and food lovers to Vinobraní na Grébovce (Grébovka Wine Festival). More information about the rich accompanying programme can be found here.
