MoreThe state of emergency has been extended only until 11th April 2021. The end of the state of emergency on 11th April also marks the end of the temporary possibility to change jobs in a simplified regime for Employee Card and Blue Card holders introduced a part of the anti-crisis governmental measures.
From 12th April 2021 on, it is thus possible to change employers or job positions exclusively under the conditions given by the Act on the Residence of Foreign Nationals in the Czech Republic. As an Employee Card holder, you are obliged to report the change of your employer or job position to the Ministry at least 30 days in advance and you may change your employer only after 6 month from the issuance of the card. Blue Card holders may change their employers or job positions during the first 2 years only with a prior consent of the Ministry of the Interior.
