MoreAt their January meeting, the Prague City Assembly approved an update to the Policy of the City of Prague for Integration of Foreign Nationals. It is a strategic document which defines the priorities regarding migrants’ integration in Prague from 2018 to 2021. The priorities set by the previous version of the policy in 2014 – education, raising awareness, migrants’ access to social and related services – have been augmented by a new section called “cohabitation of the majority society and migrants”. Among other things, it aims to support volunteer activities of migrants and encourage authorities, libraries, sports clubs, and other organisations to be more open to them. The goal of the policy is not only to make it easier for migrants who live in Prague to deal with practical issues in their everyday lives but also to help people of different origins to live together peacefully and to remember that Prague is a true metropolis of all.
