source: praha.eu

Since mid-July, a new Contact Point for Foreigners – ICP has been operating at counter No. 58 on the ground floor of the Škoda Palace. The service is run by the Integration Centre Prague.

The Contact Point helps facilitate communication between foreigners and municipal officials. Staff members are ready to assist all foreign nationals and speak Ukrainian, English, and Russian.

They provide basic information, interpreting assistance for administrative matters, and even accompaniment outside the building, if needed.

The main mission of the Contact Point for Foreigners – ICP:

  • Provide basic advice and refer clients to professional services when needed.
  • Offer interpreting services within Prague City Hall to support communication between foreign clients and various departments (e.g., reception, filing office).
  • Cooperate with departments such as Education, Youth and Sport, Transport, Culture and Tourism, Health and others that may require interpreting when serving foreign visitors.
  • If necessary, provide accompaniment and interpreting services outside City Hall (e.g., at schools, healthcare facilities, or the Labour Office).
  • Translate informational leaflets for various departments of Prague City Hall
