Compulsory Registration of Vehicles with Ukrainian Plate Numbers

From 1^st January 2024, citizens of Ukraine will have to register Ukrainian vehicles in the Czech Republic. It will thus be allowed to drive a vehicle with a Ukrainian registration number only if it is registered. Driving an unregistered vehicle with a Ukrainian plate number will be considered an offence from 1 January 2024.

Registration can be arranged at municipal offices with extended powers.

Citizens of Ukraine already residing in the Czech Republic can register their vehicles from 1^st October 2023.
