Is your student visa expiring and are you applying for a long-term residence permit? Don’t forget: when switching from a visa to a long-term residence permit, you must submit your application in person.

An application for a first-time long-term residence permit can never be submitted by post, via remote communication, or through an authorized representative. You are always required to appear in person at the Ministry of the Interior office.

Only if you already hold a long-term residence permit and are applying for an extension, may you submit the application by post, via a data box, or through an authorized representative.
