Who is a community interpreter?
A community interpreter is a trained interpreter who helps migrants overcome language barriers and also understands how to address cultural differences.
Community interpreting in Prague is currently provided only by intercultural professionals.
Contacts for community interpreters and translators with experience in the field of education in the Czech regions can be provided by regional coordinators of the National Pedagogical Institute (NPI).

For interpreting over the phone, you can also use a special helpline of Caritas Czech Republic.
The helpline is available in Ukrainian, Vietnamese, and Mongolian. It is intended for migrants living in the CR as well as public administration staff working with migrants.
