The Prague 3 City District is situated on the right bank of the Vltava River and is made up of Žižkov and Vinohrady. It has an agricultural past, memories of Hussite battles, as well as modern architecture. The original burgher houses are now nightlife havens. There are also green spaces for active leisure time.
The Prague 3 City District actively promotes the integration of migrants. In 2018 it organised courses of the Czech language for foreigners (low-threshold centres and closed courses), a cultural and social event for foreign and Czech families with children Let’s Meet, Neighbours!, the So Far, so Near 2018 project of the Lupáčova and Jeseniova primary schools, which made the integration of children of foreingers easier, extra Czech classes at the Jeseniova primary school, Jaroslava Seiferta primary school and kindergarten and Jiřího z Lobkovic Square primary school and kindergarten, and lectures for raising awareness among the public.
