The Prague 7 City District is situated to the north of the Prague historical centre, mainly on the left bank of the Vltava River. It is made up of almost the whole cadastral area of Holešovice, about a half of the Bubeneč cadastre and a small part of the Libeň cadastre. It is a growing part of the city including a residential area with civic amenities and an administrative centre.

The Integration of Foreigners and National Minorities Department organises regular Czech lessons for children at schools as well as various cultural events and other activities within the framework of conceptual and social work. This department also arranges accompanied visits to administrative offices, interpreting, intercultural services, and various types of counselling.
