Department for Asylum and Migration Policy (OAMP)
The Department for Asylum and Migration Policy of the Ministry of the Interior of the CR (OAMP) is responsible for most residence-related matters concerning foreign nationals in Czechia. Most importantly, the OAMP processes long-term visas, long-term and permanent residence permits, residence matters concerning EU citizens and their family members, issues biometric cards, and handles other procedures related to the residence of foreign nationals in the Czech Republic.
Contact the OAMP to report changes related to your residence, such as changes to your address, personal details, or passport information.
Be sure to differentiate between the Department for Asylum and Migration Policy of the Ministry of the Interior of the CR (OAMP) and the Foreign Police Service. These are two different authorities with distinct responsibilities.
