The Prague 2 City District is located in the central part of the metropolis, on the right bank of the Vltava River and it includes Vyšehrad, the New Town, Vinohrady and Nusle. Here you can find historical masterpieces and beautiful burgher houses as well as a lot of green areas and civic amenities.

The Prague 2 City District actively promotes the integration of migrants through kindergartens and primary schools in Prague 2 and subsidy schemes focused on extra-curricular activities for children and young people. The Resslova primary school offers free lessons of Czech for children with a different mother tongue which prove very popular.
