The TANEC PRAHA (‘DANCE PRAGUE’) International Festival of Contemporary Dance and Movement Theatre is one of the biggest events in the cultural calendar. The 31st edition of the festival has already started – it takes place from 3rd to 26th June 2019. It is held in the spirit of “curiosity as the gateway to experience”.
During the festival month, TANEC PRAHA will present international choreographers, young artists, and workshops. You can look forward to a number of prominent international artists, for example from France, Switzerland, Israel, and even from as far afield as Madagascar, Indonesia and Ghana, who will also visit the regions outside the capital. In keeping with tradition, Czech artists will have a significant presence in the programme.
The organisers strive to present high-quality works and the latest trends of contemporary dance and movement theatre to the widest possible audience. For Czech artists, TANEC PRAHA mainly represents inspiration and comparison of the Czech artistic scene with those in other countries. The performances take place in several diverse halls and also in the open air.
The programme of the whole festival is available HERE.
For more information about the festival, see the website of the festival.
