Zaedno Association, Unity Power for Ukraine and the Prague House of National Minorities invite you to an exhibition of children’s pictures
The opening will take place in the House of National Minorities’ gallery (Vocelova 3, Prague 2) on Friday 25th November from 6 p.m.
The exhibition will run from 16th to 30th November 2022.
The exhibition comprises two comprehensive collections. The first one includes pictures drawn by Ukrainian children in the Kharkiv metro, which is where the children found refuge during the invasion. They spent a lot of time there – they even had a makeshift school with school desks, at which they sat during Arts as well as other lessons. The exhibition will introduce you to the children’s thoughts and feelings, especially their desire for peace and an end to war.
The second collection consists in pictures created by children in the Czech Republic on the theme Stories Associated with the War in Ukraine in the national competition Multilingualism is a Wealth (Vícejazyčnost je bohatství) 2022. These children are mostly representatives of ethnic minorities but there are also quite a few Ukrainian refugees among them. Some of the works were created together with their new Czech friends.
For more information, see the website of the Zaedno Association.
