On 14th May 2019, Prague will host an international conference called Cities and Integration: Challenges, Stakeholders, and Inspiration. The conference will take place at the Kaiserstein Palace at Lesser Town Square 23, Prague 1. The conference is organised by the Consortium of Migrants Assisting Organizations in the CR, the Association for Integration and Migration, the Prague Office of the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung foundation, and the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights under the auspices of the Prague Mayor.
The conference participants will be presented with innovative approaches, inspirational international as well as Czech experience, and functional models of getting foreigners involved on the local level. The wide range of participants – representatives of the state administration, municipalities, employers, civil society organisations, and academicians – will include international guests who will share their experience with strengthening the role of municipalities and cities in the integration of foreigners. One of the topics you can look forward to is social integration of international workers. There will be two panel discussions followed by discussions in smaller groups and workshops. Simultaneous interpreting will be provided. The programme and the method of registration will be announced soon.
A day earlier, i.e. on 13th May, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) holds a conference with the topic of Education and Enhancing Capacities for Working with Migrants, again at the Kaiserstein palace. For more information about the conference, see www.iom.cz.
