World Children’s Day is celebrated on 20 November and has been celebrated since 1954 to promote children’s rights globally, raise awareness of issues affecting children and improve their lives. World Children’s Day is an important platform to advocate, promote and celebrate children’s rights and activities that lead to a better world for children. It is also a platform for children and young people to have a voice on issues that are important to their generation, from climate change, education and mental health to combating racism and discrimination. It is an opportunity to challenge adults to work towards a better future and to involve young people in this work and activities.
