The jubilee 10th year of the Cultural Encounters campaign has been launched! Traditionally, the campaign is held by the Prague 14 City District and its aim is to present cultures and traditions of other nations and to enhance mutual tolerance among people. The event started in April but there still is a full programme ahead of us.
In April and May, there is a special opportunity for readers to borrow books by international authors at the Prague Municipal Library branch in Hloubětín. On 22nd May you can come to the Kardašovská community centre for the regular community cooking at 4 p.m., which will be followed by a debate about travelling across south India at 6 p.m. At the end of the campaign, the visitors will travel as far as Asia. On 19th July from 5 to 8 p.m., there will be an event called Experience Vietnam at the Plechárna leisure time centre in Černý Most (Bryksova 1002/20). Visitors can look forward to live music, Vietnamese specialities, as well as a screening of a student film Bo Hai.
More information about the campaign is available on the website of the Prague 14 City District. (Czech only)
