As of 20th September 2023, there has been a change in the provision of comprehensive healthcare insurance to foreigners in the Czech Republic. Comprehensive health care insurance can now be arranged with any insurance company authorised to provide this type of insurance in the Czech Republic. Previously, it could only be arranged with the Public Health Insurance Company (Pojišťovna VZP).
The limits of indemnity have changed, too. Up to now, the limit of the insured event had to be at least EUR 60,000 without the insured’s deductible. The limit has now increased to EUR 400,000.
