Integration Centre Prague has prepared two interesting events before Christmas for those who would like to explore Czech culture through literature. Both the events will take place in a pleasant atmosphere and in simple Czech, which makes them ideal even for beginner Czech learners (A2 level and above).
Guide to Czech Literature: The books you would read if you went to a Czech school
When: 13th December 2024 at 6 p.m.
Where: Integration Centre Prague, Žitná 1574/51
Register here.
The seminar will introduce you to Czech literature as pupils of Czech schools know it. You will get acquainted with the most famous Czech authors and their works, read excerpts and get tips for literature suitable for foreigners.
Guide to Czech Literature II: Literary trip through Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia
When: 20th December 2024 at 5:30 p.m.
Where: Integration Centre Prague, Žitná 1574/51

The seminar will offer an insight into the literary heritage of Czech regions. You will learn more about the culture and history of each region, learn about authors associated with these places and get recommendations for books and films inspired by the regions.
Both seminars are FREE OF CHARGE.
The seminars are intended for foreigners (citizens of non-EU countries) living in the CR on a long-term basis. The events will be led by Matyáš Havel, Czech language and literature teacher.
