The Democratic Education Centre invites you to a Portuguese cultural evening, which will take place on Wednesday 22nd May from 5 p.m. You may look forward to stories about life in Portugal and information about Portuguese sights. Come and discover Madeira and Azores as well as their specific feasts and celebrations. Food lovers may look forward to tasting and learning about bacalhau, a Portuguese national meal, and Port wine. We will focus on the specifics of the Portuguese architecture and everyday life in Portugal. Your guide will be a Portuguese woman with Czech roots. She will explain how a Czech girl got to Portugal before 1989, what it was like to live there for immigrants back then, and how joining the EU changed Portugal.
The Democratic Education Centre will be happy if you visit them at Sokolovská 106/42, Prague 8 – Karlín
Voluntary entrance fee.
If you want to come, it is necessary to register at sarka@demokraticke-vzdelavani.cz.
