Helping Foreigners Find a Job

During the month of August, the Centre for the Integration of Foreigners will again offer a range of activities as a part of their service called Perspective – Social Rehabilitation aimed at helping foreigners looking for a job.

Who is the service for?

For foreigners with a legal residence in the CR who have been unemployed for more than three months and have a free access to the labour market. The main focus is on those who face further obstacles hindering their entry into the labour market, such as:

  • Going back to work after parental leave
  • Taking care of children and other dependant members of household
  • Health issues or physical handicap
  • Older age or young age

What does the service include?

Individual support and training, including:

  • Employment counselling
  • Creating a CV and a cover letter
  • Telephone and job interview training
  • Recognition of studies
  • Choosing a retraining program
  • Getting acquainted with the rights and responsibilities of an employee
  • Communication with employment offices and employers

Regular group activities

  • Jobclubs: Employment and labour law workshops
  • Czech courses: Semestral courses for beginners and intermediates
  • Conversation club: Discussions on employment topics led by professionals

Occasional group activities

  • Job workshops: Workshops focused on specific professions
  • Professional training support: Retraining and professional examinations
  • Career counselling for minor foreigners: Experimental learning workshops

Current offer

Czech course (beginners and intermediates) and individual employment counselling.

Free for unemployed migrants who live in Prague.

Intensive Czech course: 12th August to 23rd August 2024
