The Multilingualism is a Wealth competition is open for children from multilingual families and national minorities, children with international roots, as well as children who, apart from speaking Czech, speak or are learning another language. The idea of the competition is to encourage children to read or to listen to certain works of literature and then to create drawing, illustrations, comics, or books based on them. The competition is organised by the Zaedno association as a part of the Friends project. This year marks the sixth year of the competition. The project includes the issuing of a multilingual magazine called Friends (Kamarádi).
Prizes will be awarded to individuals, schools where a whole class of children takes part, and to teachers for helping children to join in. The main prizes are trips for the whole class. This year there will be ten trips for the winners! These traditionally include a trip to the largest climbing wall in the Czech Republic, a trip to Techmania, trips to museums and historical sights. There will also be a lot of material prizes.
Entries are accepted until 15th November 2018. You can send them in an electronic form – upload them on the www.kamaradi.eu website (in the competition section) or send an email to email@example.com, or via an ORDINARY letter, not a registered one to the address Zaedno association, Vocelova 602/3, 120 00 Prague 2.
The results of the competition will be published on the website on 5th November 2018.
